After the first, surgical phase of implant placement, the second phase of healing and osteointegration of the implant with the bone is the next one, which lasts on average three months.

In the case of an assessment by an oral surgery specialist that satisfactory “primary stability” has been achieved (depending on the bone itself), the implant can be loaded immediately and a temporary crown or temporary bridge or other prosthetic work placed until the healing phase is complete.
